The designer was commissioned to create a showroom space for Max On Top, South Africa’s leading supplier of
decorative surface products. The showroom should show off what they have to offer in a practical and creative way.
Clients will visit the showroom to see the various range of surfaces and finishes. The clients should be able to interact
with the various display areas and or samples. An AutoCAD floorplan was given to work from.
After a visit from the client and a look at their social media platforms and website it was clear that they have a wide
range of colours, decors and finishes to offer.
The reception creates a welcoming atmosphere when clients enter the space. The showroom is divided into different
sections. There is a sample area displayed in different ways that is interactive as the client can physically feel and touch
the sample. The kitchen display at the back of the showroom shows a more practical application of the product in an
unusual and uncommon colour scheme. The open void in the back of the showroom showcase their products in various
objects. The rounded corners were used throughout the space in different ways like display units, wall features,
rounded columns, etc.
Presentation mediums used: Sketchup, AutoCAD, Enscape and Photoshop
